Which treatment is right for me?
When is plastic surgery appropriate?
Many people notice changes to their body or face due to aging, genetic predisposition, pregnancy, weight loss, or loss of tissue volume.
Not every change requires the same treatment.
Sometimes the issue lies with:
- excess skin
- fat accumulation
- loss of volume
- tissue sagging
During a consultation, we always assess which structure is responsible for the concern so that the most suitable treatment can be selected.
Face
My eyelids are drooping
When the skin of the upper eyelid slackens, it can lead to a tired appearance or excess skin above the eyes.
Possible treatment:
Eyelid surgery — This procedure removes excess skin from the upper eyelid and can create a more open look.
My neck is sagging
Sagging of the neck can lead to excess skin under the chin, visible neck bands, or a less defined transition between the face and neck.
Possible treatment:
Neck lift — A neck lift corrects excess skin and sagging structures of the neck.
My cheeks have sagged
When the cheeks sag downwards, jowls can develop and folds around the mouth become more pronounced.
Possible treatment:
Facelift — A facelift corrects the sagging of facial tissues and restores the contour of the lower face.
My face appears sunken
With age, volume can be lost in the cheeks, temples, or jawline.
Possible treatment:
Facial lipofilling — In lipofilling, your own fat is used to restore volume.
My upper lip seems to have become thinner
With age, the distance between the nose and the upper lip can increase.
Possible treatment:
Lip lift — A lip lift shortens the distance between the nose and the upper lip, making the lip more visible.
My profile is out of balance
Sometimes the proportion between the nose, lips, and chin is less harmonious. This can be caused, for example, by a small chin or a poorly defined jawline.
Possible treatment:
Chin and jawline contouring — This procedure can improve the projection of the chin and bring more balance to the facial profile.
Breast
My breasts are too small
When more volume is desired, a breast augmentation can be considered.
Possible treatments:
- Breast augmentation with implants
- Breast augmentation with autologous fat
My breasts are sagging
With age, after pregnancy, or following weight loss, the breasts may begin to sag.
Possible treatment:
Breast lift — During a breast lift, the breast is reshaped and the nipple is placed higher.
My breasts are too large
Large breasts can cause complaints such as back and neck pain, skin irritation under the breast, or limitations during exercise.
Possible treatment:
Breast reduction — This involves removing excess breast tissue and reshaping the breast.
My breasts are asymmetrical
Sometimes there is a noticeable difference between the two breasts.
Possible treatments depending on the anatomy:
- breast augmentation
- breast lift
- breast reduction
I have gynecomastia
In men, breast development can occur due to hormonal factors, fat accumulation, or genetic predisposition.
Possible treatment:
Gynecomastia correction — This procedure removes breast tissue and fat to create a more masculine chest contour.
Body
I have stubborn fat deposits
Some fat zones respond poorly to diet or exercise.
Common areas include:
- abdomen
- flanks
- thighs
- double chin
Possible treatment:
Liposuction — This involves removing excess fat to improve the body contour.
My abdomen is sagging
After pregnancy or significant weight loss, excess skin can develop on the abdomen.
Possible treatment:
Abdominoplasty — During this procedure, excess skin is removed and the abdominal wall is tightened.
My body has lost contour after weight loss
After significant weight loss, excess skin can occur on the abdomen, arms, thighs, or back.
Possible treatment:
Body contouring surgery — This can consist of various procedures such as abdominoplasty or other skin corrections.
Combination of treatments
Often, different procedures are combined to achieve a harmonious improvement.
Examples:
- facelift and neck lift
- breast lift with breast augmentation
- liposuction combined with abdominoplasty
- lipofilling combined with facelift
During the consultation, we will determine which combination is most appropriate.
Personal consultation
Every patient has a unique anatomy and set of expectations.
During a consultation, we discuss:
- which areas concern you
- which treatments are possible
- which results are realistic
Based on this, a personalized treatment plan is drawn up.
