As we age, the structure of the face changes. Not only does the skin sag, but the fatty tissue that gives the face its shape and softness also gradually decreases.

In lipofilling, a small amount of fat is harvested from another region of the body and then re-injected into the face.

What happens during lipofilling?
Lipofilling consists of three steps: fat harvesting, purification of the fat, and injection into the face.
Safety
First, a small amount of fat is removed from a donor site, for example, at the level of the abdomen, hips, or thighs. This is done via a fine form of liposuction.
The obtained fat is then carefully purified so that only healthy fat cells are retained. This increases the chance that the fat can successfully take after injection.
Results
The purified fat is injected in small quantities into the desired areas of the face using very fine cannulas.
This technique allows volume to be built up very accurately and naturally. Lipofilling can fill sunken areas, soften folds, and improve the contours of the face.
Aftercare
After the procedure, temporary swelling and bruising may occur, both in the treated face and in the donor site where the fat was harvested.
Most daily activities can usually be resumed after about one week. The final result usually becomes visible after a few months, once the fat has fully integrated.
