What is a PRP treatment of the eye contour?<\/h2>\n\n

During this treatment, a concentrate of platelets is prepared from a small tube of your own blood, which is then introduced as very small micro-depots into or just under the thin skin of the lower eyelid. The goal is to support the quality, thickness, and texture of that skin. <\/p>\n\n

The eye contour is a sensitive and anatomically delicate zone. The treatment is therefore performed with a fine needle or a blunt cannula, using limited volumes and with particular caution. <\/p>\n\n

How does it work?<\/h2>\n\n

The growth factors from the platelet concentrate stimulate the fibroblasts in the dermis to produce new collagen and support the formation of small blood vessels. With thin lower eyelid skin, the underlying tissue shows through, which is perceived as a dark circle. If that skin becomes thicker and firmer, that translucent effect diminishes. <\/p>\n\n

The process is slow. It involves biostimulation: nothing is filled; a repair response is initiated. <\/p>\n\n
